Watching Television took place at Galeria Centofiorini between December 2017 and Januari 2018. Words by Marta Silenzi, translated by Thomas Nothdurft, about the exhibition:

“…The insides are dominated by still life that leaves the light of days outside the windows, where all the life that was long dreamed of somehow fails to be lived. It is a subtle psychological line that haunts Judit Kristensen in this series: these are sensations of boredom, apathy, indolence, entrusted to the shades of curtains and armchairs, bottles on tables and fixed num television screens on channels waiting for a show.

If the dominant white of the first works let you escape from the long Swedish nights, we are now immersed in the sun of Italy and it seems to be a need for contrast or a limit to enhance the full light experience. The chromatic choice is darker but that sense of restlessness and awaiting has not changed and it is still entrusted with a fast and simple technique, so that the impetus Is immediately caught, realized without the dispersions that could cause the use of longer and more articulated procedures. It is the fresh, current and committed point of view of Judit Kristensen that creates an unusual and interesting exhibition at the Gallery Centofiorini, with images to be interpreted, capturing the intense reflections of this young artist.”
